Class 10 understudies won't need to sit for a re-exam for the CBSE math paper that was spilled before the exam a week ago, the legislature said today. The choice was taken in light of a legitimate concern for understudies, said an authority.


An "exhaustive investigation and assessment of the appropriate response sheets" demonstrated no particular pattern that the break had affected the exam result, tweeted Union Education Secretary Anil Swarup.

A week ago, the administration declared that Class 12 understudies need to take the financial aspects end of the year test again on April 25, in the midst of enormous displeasure regarding the inquiry papers being spilled. For the class 10 math exam, Education Minister Prakash Javadekar had said it would just be held in Delhi and Haryana if the police examination focuses on an "extensive scale spill".

"The mail came at 1.29 am on March 28 (early Wednesday) yet the mail was seen at 8.55 am by the CBSE executive. The paper was sent for a check. Because there was a caution, we couldn't have halted the exam," said Mr. Swarup.


The administration's choice to not hold the class 10 Maths re-exam is an alleviation for in excess of 14 lakh understudies, who were expecting an exam in July. Numerous irate guardians and understudies have looked for activity against the CBSE.
